SCARBOROUGH — Scarborough police would like to have a word
with the man who is accused of using a camera embedded in his shoe to peep up
women’s skits at the local Walmart on July 16.
According to Scarborough Police Department
spokesman Detective Sgt. Rick Rouse, a female shopper at Walmart reported that
a man followed her and repeated stuck his foot between her feet.
“She noticed a black dot on his foot and was convinced it
was a camera,” said Rouse. “Other than that, there isn’t a whole lot of
information that we have.
“Because you can’t see his feet well enough on the security
video to tell if there really was a camera there,” said Rouse. “Pretty much, we
just want to talk to him. Who knows, maybe there is some other reasonable
explanation for his behavior.”
Even so, Rouse said, one other woman complained about the
man, described as “white, with a shaved head and no facial hair and wearing a
green polo shirt at the time of the incidents.”
Scarborough police ask that anyone with information about
the man, or the incidents, call Detective Eric Greenleaf at 730-4314 or the
anonymous tip hotline at 730-4200, ext. 3093.
